Marty Elisco
CEO, Co-Founder & Chairman of the Board

Marty brings deep experience to Augmented Intelligence from a wide range of influential positions at major technology companies, including Motorola and Zebra Technologies. He has played leadership roles in sales, marketing and engineering. Marty holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, as well as Bachelor of Science degrees in biomedical and electrical engineering from Duke University.

Jim Lindstrom
VP, Product & Engineering

Jim has led numerous, successful early-stage product and design teams. He was an early product manager at Case Commons, in the child welfare space, where he helped design and launch the Casebook case management platform. He was then the first product hire at Hightower/VTS, a successful startup in commercial real estate tech. Most recently, he ran product and design teams at Dealogic, a leading fin-tech firm, where he built predictive analytics and AI-powered products for investment banks. Jim holds an MBA from the Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Vernon is the Chief Executive Officer of Aspiranet, a nonprofit child welfare agency with 44 service sites throughout California, serving more than 2,500 clients weekly. He also is chair of the board of Stewards of Change Institute. Vernon brings more than 30 years as a child welfare innovator and leader, guiding development of nationally recognized programs that serve children, youth, families and communities. He holds a Master of Public Administration from Golden Gate University, as well as Secondary Education and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Michael Smith

Michael is the Chief Executive Officer of Linx Communications, where he provides overall leadership and management of day-to-day activities. He brings over 35 years of experience in business consulting and marketing. Michael received a Master of Arts from Bentley College, with degrees in management, marketing, finance and computer science. He also has attended Harvard Business School’s Executive Education Program.

Daniel Stein
Co-Founder and Board Member

Daniel is the President and co-founder of Stewards of Change, a nationally recognized human services think tank and consultancy; and of the nonprofit Stewards of Change Institute. He brings more than 30 years of experience working in business and consulting to public, private and nonprofit organizations focused on expanding operational capacity, solving internal and interagency problems, and improving client outcomes. He holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts from Evergreen State College.

Tim Gomes

Tim is the founder and CEO of Topaz Lighting & Electric Corporation, headquartered in Long Island, NY. Started in 1985, Topaz now employs over 200 people and is one of the largest independent electrical fittings manufacturers in the country. Through their charitable foundation, Tim and his wife, Sue, support a number of organizations and causes. Tim also serves on the National Council for Corporate Partnerships with the Environmental Defense Fund and as a Board Trustee for the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence. Professional group affiliations include active membership and participation in Young Presidents’ Organization / World Presidents’ Organization. He is a graduate of SUNY Binghamton in New York.

Evan Herbst

Evan is the General Manager, North America, for, the leader in the emerging AI field of Topic Computing. Prior to joining, he was a Senior Vice President with Essextec, where he built and led an award-winning cognitive computing and artificial intelligence business. Previously, Evan served in a number of senior executive roles with leading technology companies, and he holds four US patents for mobile computing. Evan received a bachelor’s degree in Systems Science and Engineering, with a minor in Computer Science, from the University of Pennsylvania.

Martin Duggan

Martin is the Chief Executive Officer of Martin Duggan Ventures, a Special Advisor at Employment and Social Development Canada, and a member of the board of the Stewards of Change Institute. He has been working with health and human services, workforce services and Social Security organizations around the world since 1990 in a variety of delivery, strategy and consulting roles. Martin previously led the social programs group at IBM Watson Health and, prior to that, led the market strategy group at Cúram Software. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Manchester.

Augmented Intelligence Advisory Board Dr. Suzanna Tamang
Dr. Suzanne Tamang

Dr. Tamang is the Assistant Faculty Director, Data Science, at the Stanford Center for Population Health Science and an Instructor at the Department of Biomedical Data Science, Stanford University School of Medicine. As a computer scientist with training in biology, health services research and biomedical informatics, she works with interdisciplinary teams of experts on population health problems of public interest. Integral to her work, is the analysis of large and complex population-based datasets, using techniques from natural language processing, machine learning and deep learning. She is affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs, the National Bureau of Economic Review, the Department of Rheumatology, University of California San Francisco and in Denmark, the Department of Clinical Epidemiology, Arhaus University. In addition to her more traditional research activities, she functions as the faculty mentor for the Stanford community working group Stats for Good.

David Acker

David is the former President and CEO of Sleepy’s, the Mattress Professionals. Under his operational leadership and strategic direction, Sleepy’s became the largest privately owned specialty mattress retailer, with more than 1,000 locations and over 3,300 employees. The company was strategically sold in 2016. David now oversees the Acker Family Office and leads its commitment to give back to the community through the Acker Family Charitable Fund. He and his sons manage their investment group, Imagine Holdings LLC. The family serves as board members and supports many organizations, including Spence-Chapin Family Services, Covenant House International, Northside Center for Child Development, the 92nd St. Y, NYC’s Woman’s Voices for Change, the Student Leadership Network, In the Heights and the Feinstein Institute.

Richard Krulik

Richard is the CEO of United States Luggage Company, LLC, and its two brands – Solo and Briggs & Riley Travelware – which are leading innovators of high-quality luggage and business case products. His philosophy is rooted in the principles that guided his grandfather almost 100 years ago, when he owned prestigious luggage and leather goods stores in Austria. Richard is involved with charities including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Patient Airlift Services, Angel Flights and Make a Wish Foundation. He is also on the board of the Cradle of Aviation and the Nassau County Police Department Foundation. Previously, he was on the board of the Travel Good Association and was President of the Board of Trustees of the Solomon Schechter Day School of Suffolk County. He holds an MBA from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester.
